Turning Nightmare Bathrooms into Dream Commodes on HGTVRiverside, New Jersey (August 30, 2006) – How do you turn the most out-of-date, tackiest and downright ugliest bathrooms imaginable into stylish expressions of homeowner elegance and ambiance in 30 minutes? For the answer, turn onto HGTV’s new half-hour series Save My Bath every Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. and again on Wednesday at 12:30 a.m. Each week, the 26-episode series hosted by Krista Watterworth and joined by Master Carpenter Steven J. Whittle, takes delight in deriding the worst bathrooms imaginable and then turning the macabre scenes into brilliant fashion statements filled with fresh paint, sparkling new tile and artistic lighting. “It was an honor to be selected as the official lighting consultant for this project,” says TJ Tindall, president and owner of The Light Gallery in Princeton, New Jersey, which is located at 301 North Harrison Street and is an authorized Sea Gull Lighting Products distributor. “Each episode, the show walks viewers through the total remodel of some of the worst bathrooms imaginable. “However, while the entire program is done with a sense of humor, it also demonstrates what can be achieved with some expertise and design sense. As the resident lighting design expert, our role is to work with the show’s designers to specify the best lighting products for each individual bathroom. This is based not only on the lighting’s ability to facilitate tasks, but also its artistic value to the overall project design.” Throughout the series, The Light Gallery in Princeton has relied on Sea Gull Lighting Products to supply much of the lighting used in each episode. This has included a wide array of sconces, pendant, ceiling and cove lighting, which was carefully chosen from the leading lighting manufacturer’s product line to amplify the ambiance of each new makeover, while comfortably and elegantly assisting with the performance of everyday bathroom tasks by the homeowners. “Lighting is an essential element of SaveMy Bath,” explains Sara Baxter, associate producer at Nancy Glass Productions, the program’s producer. “Few people truly understand its value in dramatizing architectural elements and enhancing the ambiance of any setting, while making its own artistic statement.” Save My Bath is distributed to more than 89 million U.S. households through HGTV, which is a leader in home and lifestyle programming as well as one of cable’s top-rated networks. The network’s branded programming also can be seen in 47 other countries and its selected programming is available to service men and women on board Navy ships and through American Forces Radio & Television Service (AFRTS) which services more than 1,000 outlets in over 175 countries.
